Do I need to be on a smart tariff to use Hypervolt’s modes?

No. All Hypervolt modes work with any energy supplier.

What happens if the sun goes in while I’m charging in Eco or Super Eco Mode?

In EcoMode, your charger automatically switches to the grid so your car still fills up.
In Super EcoMode, charging pauses until your solar panels produce at least 1.4kW again — meaning you’ll only ever run on good, clean sunshine.

Can I override or switch modes?

Yes. You’re always in control. You can change modes, skip an event, or go back to Boost at any time from the app.

How much can I save with smart charging?

It depends on your tariff, solar setup, and driving habits — but customers typically save hundreds of pounds a year compared to standard charging. Ultra Mode can boost savings further by earning rewards for grid support.

Is my EV battery safe?

Absolutely. Hypervolt’s modes never draw energy from your car’s battery. All charging complies with manufacturer safety standards.

Can I use smart charging if I don’t have solar?

Yes. Boost, Ultra Mode, and EcoMode all work perfectly without solar panels. If you do have solar, Eco and Super Eco unlock extra savings.

Will smart charging still work if I change supplier?

Yes. Hypervolt works with every major UK energy supplier and adapts automatically — no need to reconfigure.
